Diabetes in Pregnancy (4.8 CEU’s)

Diabetes (Type I, Type II, and Gestational Diabetes) carry maternal, fetal and infant risks. These risks can be minimized through lifestyle or medical treatment options, depending on the severity of diabetes. In this 4.8-hour professional development online course, we will look at these three conditions and explore the evidence related to best practice. We will consider the implications of a diagnosis of gestational diabetes and the actions a client can take to minimize their own risk.

This course is designed for professionals working with pregnant and birthing clients including nurses, doulas, childbirth educators, and allied health professionals. You will have access to this course for 6 months from the time you enrol.
